My own tape, nine reviews from people I’ve trained, and results from clients I coached before Yardline — photos, logged weigh-ins, and their own messages, published with written permission. Yardline opens August 10.
Not a client. Me. Twice — once at 23, and once as a working adult who’d stopped paying attention. The second time I was exactly the guy I now coach: long hours, good money, and a body that changed while I wasn’t looking.
Night shifts and fast food in the truck. I was burnt out, and it showed. Coming back wasn’t complicated. It just took showing up, over and over.
Long hours, good money, ordering out most nights. The weight came on slow enough that I didn’t notice — until I did. Coming back took a year. A real year, with a full-time job, my dogs, and the people I love. No overnight fix. Same answer as at 23: consistency, and something to point it at. For me that was a BJJ tournament.
There’s a photo from the far side of that comeback on my About page →

True Results Fitness — Dylan’s in-person personal training practice, Sunnyvale CA, 2017–18. Published on Thumbtack, not by us.
Every session with Dylan is consistently well-prepared. His college athlete discipline and good manners rub off naturally, and I automatically start pushing myself against earlier limits. I have trained with Dylan over 2 years, and would recommend him to anyone.
I started training with Dylan at a point where I was at 24% body fat and in pretty terrible shape. His training helped me get down to 14% body fat and improve my overall health. He is very knowledgeable and trained me in a variety of workout programs from high intensity interval to heavy weight training for serious gains. The best part of training with Dylan is that you gain the confidence and knowledge to change your lifestyle and make training part of your everyday routine. If you want to make a change in your lifestyle and overall health I highly recommend you contact Dylan.
When I started going to the gym I did not know what to do. I was always lost, my workouts were not the best. Once I decided to get a personal trainer, I started to notice the difference. My coach, Dylan, has taught me the many different workouts for the different muscle groups. Now I can go to the gym by myself and know what to do. I don’t feel lost anymore. Slowly but surely, I’ve seen results. Muscles are getting bigger, I’ve gotten stronger too. I’m really happy with the results so far.
I’ve been training with Dylan for about 6 months now and I could not be happier with the progress and results I’ve achieved. Dylan is an excellent trainer who pushes you to achieve your max potential. We set goals, accomplish them, and set new ones. Personal training with Dylan is a well worthwhile investment that I would highly recommend to anyone considering personal training.
Overall i had a really great experience with Dylan. He was patient, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I felt supported and comfortable in striving to meet fitness goals.
Dylan is a great trainer. He always responds quickly to my questions and he pays attention to the fundamentals while pushing you to do a little bit more than you think you can do. He’s a great motivator and a great person!
True lifestyle coaching on a fitness level. Very complete training.
Absolutely incredible with my personal training and the group classes.
Dylan is a very good professional. We had 3 personal training sessions and they were really great! I learned new things and I’ll definitely going to use them :)

My coach Dylan has been exceptional. I had my doubts when I signed up — and I was totally wrong. He’s helpful, motivating, and down to earth, and he goes above and beyond every single time. The meal plan is great, the workouts are perfect, and it’s all helping me build a healthy lifestyle I can carry for the rest of my life.

The encouragement has been a game changer for me. The program takes any positive behavior and encourages more. The nutrition plan is amazing — really good food! Dylan, you’re amazing too. So knowledgeable; this clearly isn’t your first rodeo.
That was a timely message on clothes shopping. I bought myself a new T-shirt on the way to Tahoe — it was a Large! Holy Toledo. Even back in school I wore an extra-large.
I’ve gotten good workouts in at the hotel gyms and kept close to the meal plans on the road. More muscle definition in my arms and shoulders, and my pants are definitely looser. That’s the smallest my waist has been in five years — since I left the Army.
Dylan, I’m about to cry out of joy. The plan looks exactly like what I was looking for! Tortillas? Kefir? Yellow potatoes? The nutrition plan looks delicious. Super excited to hit the gym tomorrow.
Down 16 lbs. My body is really happy to shed the weight. I’m blown away by how huge my portions used to be — learning what a correct portion looks like has been critical. I’m learning the point of eating is nutrition and energy.
Today was the day I’d set aside to decide whether this journey would continue. I felt GREAT all week. The food was good, the exercise pushed me, and I woke up at 227.0. I’m a happy guy. Thanks Dylan.
Down from 191 to 177 tonight — the lowest weight I’ve been in around ten years.
In less than three weeks, all the cellulite on my thighs is GONE!
Went to the doctor and she said I look very fit, healthy, and muscular. I’m fitting into most of my size-small outfits, and I feel really strong compared to before I started.
So far so good — hanging in there with my meals. Things are good, and I can already tell in the way my clothes fit. That’s a great motivator!
I really like being able to choose the gym or a follow-along at home. It’s rainy here today — nice not to have to go out! Looking forward to the menu this week too. Looks great.
Feeling good! Did great while I was away for work — ate well and walked 23,000 steps on Friday. Excited to see what two more weeks looks like.
220.4 this morning — LET’S GO! Exciting that I ate what I wanted for three days of Christmas dinners and lunches and really didn’t gain. Sweet!
It’s been great so far. I feel a real improvement in my overall health this week — more energy, less sluggish. And the workouts have been good.
152.6 is the lowest I’ve been in almost a decade. Clothes feel looser and I’m getting into pants a size smaller than when I started. Thanks for the great meal options!
Weighed in this morning at 170.1 — lost 5.2 pounds in a week!
This might be TMI, but my balance is so much better. Today I swam in a suit one size smaller than usual — and several people I hadn’t seen in a while said it looked like I’d lost weight.
Just uploaded my progress photos — feeling strong and seeing the shape change. Genuinely excited about where this is going.
Wow — couldn’t believe it when I stepped on the scale and saw 150.8! I’ve been hitting my water goal and it shows in the numbers. Love the new menu items.
This week was insane with work, but I didn’t miss a meal or a workout. Down to 190 this morning and hyper-focused on my goal. Can’t wait to see myself at 176!
I just want to acknowledge my coach, Dylan Beck, for his kindness, patience, prompt replies, and tremendous support this month on my journey back to health. Thank you.
